This module is the turning point of the Forex journey. A trader might not know analysis, but if they do not know risk management, they will lose money 100% of the time.
We have now learned trend and strategy — now the mathematics of protecting and growing capital begins.
📍 Risk Management Rule (The Golden Rule)
Never risk more than 1–2% of your total capital on a single trade.
💡 Example:
- Capital = $1,000
- 1% Risk → maximum loss per trade = $10
- 2% Risk → maximum loss = $20
It is that simple. Those who do this stay in the game. Those who do not are wiped from the market.
📈 How Does RR (Risk/Reward) Work?
The target for ONE position is at least 1:2 RR → Meaning for a $10 risk → minimum $20 profit potential
The table is as follows:

|---|---|---|
| 1:1 | 50% | Difficult – spread kills the edge |
| 1:2 | 33% | Comfortable – the system breathes |
| 1:3 | 25% | You win less often, but your capital grows |
| 1:5 | 17% | Monthly portfolio skyrockets 🚀 |
Remember that it is RR, not a strategy, that creates a trader.
🧮 Lot Calculation Formula
Risk = Stop Distance × Lot × Pip Value
Lot = (Risk Amount) / (Stop Distance × Pip Value)
🔍 Trade Example:- Capital: $1,000
- 1% Risk → $10
- Stop: 30 pips
Lot = 10 / (30 × 0.1) = 0.33 lots
