🔥 MODULE 3 — Trend & EMA Strategy (Core System)
This section is the most critical point of the Forex series. Now that we have learned how the market works, it is time to clarify how to enter a trade? — where to exit? — at what level to place a stop loss?
The system below is a minimalist trend strategy with a high accuracy rate, designed for short to medium-term traders.
📍 Indicators Used
- EMA 20 → Measures short-term trend flow
- EMA 50 → Filters medium-term trend direction
- EMA 200 → Determines the macro trend
✔ If 20 is above 50 → BULLISH trend ✔ If 20 is below 50 → BEARISH trend ✔ Price is above 200 EMA → Long-term uptrend ✔ Below → Long-term weakness
🟢 LONG Setup Rules
- If price is above EMA 200 → Main trend is UP
- If EMA 20 > EMA 50 → Momentum is positive
- If price retraces and prints a rejection wick upon testing EMA 20/EMA 50 → Entry zone
Long entry trigger: A green candle close above EMA 20 + breakout of the previous high.
Stop Loss: Below the recent swing low — generally below EMA 50.
Take Profit: Minimum 1:2 RR, ideally 1:3 RR.
🔴 SHORT Setup Rules
- If price is below EMA 200 → Main trend is DOWN
- If EMA 20 < EMA 50 → Momentum is negative
- Retracements test the EMAs → A retest candle provides a selling opportunity
Short entry trigger: A red candle closes below EMA 20 + breakdown of the previous low.
Stop Loss: Above the recent swing high (above EMA 50)
Take Profit: Between 1:2 → 1:3 RR.
📈 Trade Example — Simple yet Deadly Effective
- Trend is UP
- Retracement occurs → Price taps EMA 20
- Bullish engulfing candle → Entry
Entry: EMA 20 tap + reversal confirmation Stop: Below recent swing low TP-1: 2RR TP-2: 3RR+
A single trade can yield hundreds of pips.
